AMARÉ ANTWERP is a Belgian brand that is paving the way for an eco-friendly fashion future, one powerful yet graceful step at a time.

AMARÉ in Latin means “To Love”, which resonates through all levels of this luxury independent brand. Their ethos originates from the idea that as a resident of Earth, all mammals are connected and cannot sustain life without one another. The rapid depletion of our natural resources has put not just us at risk, but future generations, and it is our responsibility to protect the world around us. It is these endangered animals that influenced AMARÉ ANTWERP to reconnect and contribute to the welfare of the planet and natural wildlife.

AMARÉ’s collection of beautiful accessories are handcrafted by artisans in Italy using the most innovative plant-based materials, such as vegan cactus leather which is 100% organic and free from pesticides and herbicides. Using only rainwater for harvesting, the plant is left undamaged to grow throughout the next season. The cactus leaves are then sun dried to reduce even more energy consumption, and compared to other animal and authentic leathers, this organic form of leather is more breathable whilst feeling like true luxury

Antwerp has also been the capital of the World Diamond Trade for over five centuries, and having access to the finest natural gems, the brand uses these stones as subtle accents on animal embellishments. By using these natural stones, it means that each gem is unique and may vary to the next, therefore each accessory is a one of a kind in its very own way. “By keeping our brand aesthetics minimal we aim to create a large impact.” And that is exactly what this brand has achieved.

AMARÉ ANTWERP doesn’t just stop at its sustainable materials, but also made giving back an integral part of what fuels them as a business. For every product sold, they donate a portion of sales to various animal welfare organisations that help to free animals in captivity and protect endangered species. It is actions and ethos like these, which make AMARÉ ANTWERP stand out from the crowd, and attract loyal customers who are also fighting for the greater good.

Founder Aum Nanavati crafted AMARÉ to be everything she believes in, and having worked with animals in the past, she now aims to build a kinder and more sustainable world for our fellow habitants. The curated collection shown at this season’s YFW boasts summer tones, creative designs, and smart vegan materials. Each piece has been meticulously designed with the aim of being a long-term addition to our very own wardrobes, as we, a generation, move away from fast fashion trends and grow appreciation for independent brands making a difference, such as AMARÉ ANTWERP.
